PARKING (Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K Race):
Parking will be available inside Eisenhower Park. Signs will direct participants from parking lots within Eisenhower Park to the start line on Charles Lindbergh Blvd. Depending on whereyou’re your vehicle is parked, this walk may be as much as 1 mile long. BE SURE YOU LEAVE ENOUGH TIME TO GET TO THE START.

PARKING (5K Race / 1 Mile Run):
Parking for 5K Race will be available in the parking areas surrounding the Mitchel Athletic Complex. Due to road closures, all participants should aim to be parked before 7:30 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2008


DIRECTIONS TO EXPO / RUNNER CHECK-IN / Kidz Fun Run (Mitchel Athletic Complex)

Take the Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4W - Nassau Coliseum Exit
Merge onto Charles Lindbergh Blvd and continue West
Entrance to the Mitchel Athletic Complex parking is on your LEFT about 1/4 mile after first traffic light.

*By Train:

Take the Long Island Rail Road to the Westbury Train Station.
Taxis are available at the Westbury Train Station and the Mitchel Athletic Complex is about a 5-minute ride away.


DIRECTIONS FOR SATURDAY - RACE DAY PARKING
To 1 Mile & 5K Start / Finish:
Take the Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4W - Nassau Coliseum Exit
Merge onto Charles Lindbergh Blvd and continue West
Follow signs or Police instruction into parking lots near the RXR Omni Building and Nassau Community College.

Make sure you arrive with enough time to get to the Charles Lindbergh Blvd. Start Line BEFORE 8:00 AM !!!

*By Train:

Take the Long Island Rail Road to the Westbury Train Station.
Taxis are available at the Westbury Train Station and the Mitchel Athletic Complex is about a 5-minute ride away.


DIRECTIONS FOR SUNDAY - RACE DAY PARKING:
To Finish Line Area:
Take the Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M5E.
Travel on Hempstead Tpke east to the 4th traffic light. This is the entrance to Eisenhower Park.
Make a Left turn into Eisenhower Park and follow signs and security personnel to parking areas.

From Stewart Avenue or Merrick Avenue (before 7:30 AM only)
Take Stewart avenue east, crossing Merrick Avenue, and enter Eisenhower Park.
Follow signs and security personnel to parking areas.

Make sure you arrive with enough time to get to the Charles Lindbergh Blvd. Start Line BEFORE 8:00 AM !!!

*By Train

Take the Long Island Rail Road to the Westbury Train Station.
Taxis are available at the Westbury Train Station and the Mitchel Athletic Complex is about a 5-minute ride away.

If you walk from train station:
From the station platform, walk west to Post Avenue.
Turn left onto Post Avenue and head south.
Contrinue across Old Country Road (Post Ave. Changes name to Merrick Avenue.)
Continue on Merrick Avenue till the 6th traffic light - Charles Lindbergh Blvd. (about 1.3 miles)
Turn Right onto Charles Lindbergh Blvd and continue about 500yds to the start line.


PLACES TO WATCH
The Long Island Marathon has many sponsored “Cheering Stations” located throughout the marathon/ half marathon course. Each of these stops will feature easy access from main roads, entertainment and fun!

Official Cheering Stations will be at the following locations:
- Post Avenue and Maple Avenue
- Jericho Tpke across from Home Depot
- Brush Hollow Road at the North Fork Theater
- Wantagh Parkway and Old Country Road
- Wantagh Parkway and Hempstead Tpke.
- Wantagh Parkway and Sunrise Highway
